Ahhhh Flokati....

Harmony in Design

There is nothing like the feeling of your feet sinking into a pile of soft, warm flokati, especially on a chilly winter morning. While white on the floor can seem like a bit of a risky move, especially in your more public spaces, the payoff is an elegant, slightly whimsical look reminiscent of fresh snowfall.

Traditional Home
Filling up your living room with flokati might be a little overzealous for newbies, but the effect is so luxurious. That's a floor you could curl up and take a nap on!

We're big fans of using flokati as an accent piece. It's a great way to get the look without covering the floors below -- or breaking the bank!

We love the idea of flokati in the bathroom, but I wonder if the fibers would get all stuck to your wet feet?

This beautiful sheepskin from World Rugs would be the ideal accent over a larger rug. We'd use it in a bathroom or nursery.

We hope you all have a wonderful start to the week!

Gorgeous interiors! I adore flokatis...I recently put my parents vintage flokatis in my living room. I had them in my bedroom for years, but I like to move stuff around for interest, so maybe next year they'll be in my son's room...who knows!

All rooms are gorgeous. It wouldn't be here if they weren't, right? :-) But my favorite is the first one. How not to fall in love with that?

I hope you guys have a very blessed week, my friends!

* Hi! When we lived in Germany in the 70's (yes, I'll admittedly "date myself" here, but just for the sake of accuracy! Smiles!), many of our friends got "into" flokatis... some of us even went to Greece to tour, AND also buy them... I don't know if you said it, but these WEAR VERRRRY WELL & WASH UP beautifully (you can take them out to your patio & hose them well & "air dry", & they look fab AND are clean! OR< just send them to the cleaners to be WASHED in their big machines~~~)...

I got rid of ours over the years, only to buy one a FEW years ago for the sitting area in our MBR... I/we loved it... It felt almost "retro" to me, but to alot of our guests who tour the house, they think they're a "FAB NEW DECORATING ITEM"!!!

Happy Monday!

Love the last 3 bedrooms. And that nickel tub is my dream. Priced it once---and it came in around $13,000 :-(. One can always fantasize!

They look wonderful, but I would never dare to have one myself. Would be nervous about what could be hiding in it?! A small one perhaps, like in that last image. Chic and cozy!

Happy new week to you lovely ladies.

It looks so soft and that bath in the first image amazing! I have always wanted a flokati but I’m afraid it might not last long around our golden, beautiful though and they work everywhere.

I didn't know Pottery Barn had a flokati! My mother-in-law has always had one in her bedroom. They never go out of style.
