Things We Love: Blog Awards

We have to thank Parker Jennings and Nina Gates, the design team behind the fabulous blog Notes from a Virginia Country House, so, so much for giving us the Blog on Fire Award! They speak and consult on interiors, gardening and cooking. Their blog is chock full of posts on subjects ranging from design tips to vanilla flavoring! We are so honored that you chose us! Part of winning this award is that you have to tell five interesting things about yourself and then pass this award on to five other people.

Kendall Boggs is the creator of Kendall Boggs fine art, an incredible painter, blogger, mother of three and grandmother of two, almost three! She has a beautiful family and loves to write about them. (And we love to read about them!)

Here is Kendall's newest granddaughter's nursery with one of her fabulous dress paintings above the dresser.


Someone brought to our attention that we forgot to put five things about us! Baby brain in the worst way. We're not super interesting, but here are five things about us...
1. We absolutely cannot take a decent picture together, which is why they never appear on our blog. We're trying though, seriously. One day!
2. We have an infinite number of pictures saved by which to decorate the beach house that we have occasionally talked about wanting on this blog. And, don't tell our husbands, but we may have purchased a few things for said imaginary beach house as well. We are going to find the perfect one. Again, one day!
3. We are obsessive chocolate eaters. For example, I have to take a batch of fudge to wine night tonight and we made it earlier in the week, ate the entire batch in two days and I'm making it again as I type. It's a real problem. I'm hoping the juicing counteracts.
4. We do baby yoga with Will. It's adorable, and he thinks it's the most fun thing in the world! If you have a little one, you should totally try it! I think it makes him sleep better. (He's five months old today. Happy birthday, Will!!)
5. We have been blogging a little over a year and have yet to meet any of our "blog friends" in real life. But we love all of you and hope that changes in 2012!

Elizabeth at Pretty Pink Tulips is a stay-at-home mom of 2 young boys and lives in NY state.  Right now, we are loving reading about the major renovation she is doing to her gorgeous home. The tiles above are what she just used in the powder room!

Elizabeth blogs on interiors, her renovation and all the things that make life more beautiful. This shot is of some inspiration she is using for her expansion. We're inspired! Hope you are too!
