Monday Musings:Dining Room Inspiration

The dining room at the Beaufort house still has a long way to go to reach its full fabulous potential, but we’re starting to see a light at the end of the tunnel.
These are the before photos, just to be clear :)
This was one of our inspiration photos for how we want the dining room to feel. Fresh, crisp and totally laid back.
This wall of fish inspired us to create an art wall in the dining room as well.
The idea of directors chairs with a farm table came from this fabulous photo.

A pair of these stunning oyster chandeliers will light our table.

Halo Style
We love the solid, rustic feel of this farm table from Halo Style. It’s plenty big for all the entertaining we can’t wait to do!

Kerri Shipp painted nine beautiful, neutral corals for us to create the art wall of our dreams!
Regina Andrew Alabaster quatrefoil lamp
The pictures don’t do this stunning alabaster lamp justice. It’s the perfect addition to…

Oh, I love it! It’s bound to be beautiful with such fantastic inspiration. I’m a big fan of slip covered chairs in the dining room, and love the casual ease that the directors chairs bring. Can’t you just imagine all the wonderful meals and conversations that will be shared in that space? You must be so excited! Happy Monday! XO

Wow, things really are moving along! I know that you are excited.
I used director’s chairs in my home years ago and loved them. Has me rethinking things.
    Happy Monday.

I love it all. The rustic table and director chairs are so perfect for your beach house. I can’t wait to see the shell chandeliers and wall art. Just think, this time next year you could be hosting Thanksgiving for your family at the beach.

What a relaxed room this will be. I find that so many people have staid dining rooms. This will be fresh, beachy and beautiful – and very functional.

I had at one time thought about putting my baby grand piano in my dining room – and put stools around it for when I (or another pianio player) would be entertaining guests. We use our dining room only about 4 times a year…so why waste all that space? But, some realtor friends of mine said “No” – you never know when you’d need to sell your house and a dining room is a selling point.

I’m still here – and I still have my dining room intact. But – I did do a very artistic dining room ceiling so it’s not your ordinary dining room!

Great post on your plans…can’t wait to see the results.

Wow….love what you are leaning toward!! That bar cart is one of the best I’ve seen. Just the right amount of glam without going overboard. And, really loving your new sponsor! :)

It is SO great to be back. I’m so sorry that I’ve been offline and missed my visits. I loved your post on Twin Beds All Grown Up, too!
