Things We Love: Swedish Inspired Interiors

Jane Moore Interiors
When it comes to great design, there are few looks we fall for harder than gorgeous, Swedish-inspired interiors.

That air of "Ah, yes, I've been here before..." and a feel of genuinely unfussy style are so appealing in any home.

It's the perfect combination of antique, aged elegance and laid-back comfort.
Martin Brudnizki

That Scandinavian sensibility of a crisp, clean kitchen aesthetic, like in this stunning space from Martin Brudnizki Design Studio, is so appealing... Although his studios are in London and New York, we think it's clear that Brudnizki was born in Sweden!

That Swedish-inspiration is ideal for a sweet nursery: soft and lovely without being too babyish.

We can't decide what we love most about Swedish-inspired design.

Is it that soothing, deep-exhalation-during-savasana color palette...?

Or the perfectly worn, undeniably elegant furniture?

We think we'll just call it a tie!

Swedish-inspired design comes to life in Loi Thai and Thomas Troeschel's redesigned-to-perfection home near D.C.

That simple pop of vibrant, living green adds so much to this beautiful space.

Speaking of greens, this is such a great one! What a fabulous focal point. Doesn't it make you want to sit down and catch up on some good, old fashioned, handwritten correspondence? We hope your weekend is filled with many things as decadent and fun!

I do adore Swedish style. When I think of it, Loi and Thomas' home comes to mind immediately (and their shop). They have truly grasped the Swedish lifestyle in their decorating.

Great post, thanks! (I adore the first photo)

I love it and admire Loi and all his work! He is so, so talented! It amazes me that I can be the Black and White Girl with touches of Gold and love this just as much.....but I do!

Swedish style is the essence of quiet elegance. Loi's work, for me, is the epitome of Swedish style. Thanks for such a lovely post.

I really have a hard time distinguishing french from swedish sometimes especially if it's not the modern type of space, but this post kinda' clears the distinction. Thanks for the inspiration, will keep this in mind when I'm browsing. ;-)

I definitely think this is a very pretty look, a little too dainty for me and our busy active household, don't think all those paint finishes would hold up but I really do think its beautiful.

There is really no end to the possibility of changing things up using the swedish styles. It is calm and collected. Love it!
