One of the things we are most excited about at our current renovation project in Beaufort, NC is the new screened porch that will be there soon!

So many elements make a screened porch feel like that enviable outdoor living room. We can’t wait for ours to be filled with sand buckets, bouncy balls and those crucial bubbles!

The destination is great, but we all know about that all-important journey. Walking through these doors would feel like an amazing trip every time you pass.

Garden stools are one of our all-time favorite things. They make great side tables and coffee tables, especially for an area that could get exposed to some weather.

We love our screened porch there is no better place for a summers nap. We didn’t paint our screen porch ceiling blue but we did our front open porch. The blue paint is suppposed to keep bugs away in New England, doesn’t work so we painted it white.

We have a small screen porch which we are going to be expanding this year so that we can put a dining set and a few lounge chairs there and start to use it more. With our mild weather we can probably get a good 8-9 months of the year out of it. Great examples you have shown here, have to show my husband.

Don and I hope to be downsizing soon. And my #1 requirement? A screened in porch. We do not have one now, and I miss this spot more than any other!! xo

I did pin one of the photos and will save this whole post in my future project file…loved how the columns were used in a couple of the pictures.

I love these outdoor rooms. The antique sliding barn style doors are fabulous and I especially like the setting with the 2 turquoise garden seats.
Please fix me a mint julep!
