It’s one of the most stylish and functional combinations we’ve ever seen.
If you’re like us, you’ll agree that the island is probably the most important workspace in the kitchen.
But… Wait! It’s also where we like to eat the very best!
So that’s why the double island idea has captured our hearts so completely.
It really is the best of both worlds.
Space galore for chopping, dicing, sauteeing and boiling.
And a whole separate spot for sipping morning coffee and grabbing a bowl of fresh fruit.
Plus, double islands give that all important opportunity to choose two separate surfaces for the islands, depending on what you do most.
You know we’re white marble lovers through and through.
But you also know that the etching and scratching that happens on that white marble — while still lovely — could be totally avoided in the two island, two different surfaces scenario.
Plus, just think of how many sinks you could have in a kitchen with normal workspace plus two islands! Wow!
A clean, white marble kitchen is so fabulous. But we love it with these opposing colored tops on the islands. The contrast is perfect! We’re definitely fans of the double island concept — and these pictures (well, not this one exactly…) prove that it can be implemented even if you don’t have a massive kitchen. Renovation, anyone?
Speaking of renovating, we’re in the midst of a renovation on our site. So please bear with us! We’ll be better than ever in just a few days! Wishing you a fabulous day, friends! Thanks for spending a little of it with us.
