Dear Carolina Tablescape

Harvey Home 003

Good morning, chic readers! We’re so excited today to share with you a super fun project that we got to do with Mikasa and some other fun bloggers, creating DEAR CAROLINA-themed tablescapes! (Enter below to win 4 place settings of the Mikasa china we picked and a copy of the book!)

We wanted to have a little party in Beaufort, of course, and, for our soiree? We’ve been big fans of DEAR CAROLINA sip and signs, so we thought we’d have one at our house!

IMG_0746_2

We had the pleasure of setting our table with this fabulous Mikasa Ortley dinnerware. We love the pattern, of course, but the best thing about this china is that it is made with the highest-quality bone china — but meant for everyday use!

IMG_0747

It’s the kind of intersection of form and function that would make Khaki, the designer main character from DEAR CAROLINA, very proud! When you have kids and work and a million commitments, easy entertaining is a must!

IMG_0748_2

And this beautiful Mikasa Laura glassware is so amazing. Thin and delicate yet durable, it is made from lead-free crystal and transitions fabulously from brunch to Bordeaux!

IMG_0749

Another touch Khaki would love? Hydrangeas cut fresh from the backyard.

IMG_0751

It’s another element that is quick, simple and oh-so easy.

IMG_0752

Another of our favorites? Paper straws, of course! Don’t they just say party?

IMG_0754

This Kelby Flatware is wonderful. It’s heavy and simple but elegant, perfect for every day and those special occasions!

IMG_0755

Capiz shell placemats add a touch of elegance and nod toward the beach.

IMG_0756

And the guests can’t leave without their special favor — a copy of DEAR CAROLINA!

IMG_0764

Don’t you just love the basketweave pattern on this china? We think it’s a nod toward a natural fiber but in a color that will stay chic for years.

We just love the way it all looks together!

  6. Kristy,
This was so much fun. I love how each of you found totally different things from the book to draw from for the table settings AND how each blog so completely represents the personalities of the girls writing. I smiled, giggled and nodded – in that “knowing” way- through every one of them. Loved this idea and love every one of you beautiful girls. Ready for a girl’s trip!
    xoxo
    Cindy

  19. Dear Kristi – A big congratulations on your book publishing accomplishment. You and your family must be so incredibly proud of you. I know just as a fellow blogger in blogland that I am so happy and so proud of you as well.

Your table on the porch screams “welcome, stay a while, you are wanted here.” Mikasa is by far the best – my MIL has Mikasa and I have always coveted it.

Good luck in all your book sales – and thanks to you (and Mikasa!) for the opportunity to win such a fabulous giveaway. I know if I were to win I’d have to get another set and have a gathering right away! I LOVE the idea of your guest favors as your book and book signing – A+++ on that idea.
