I LOVE Bermuda shutters! My sister is thinking about having them put in at the beach.
These images are just perfect.
Hope that your week is off to a great start.

These would be perfect if we lived in the beach or in cooler weather. Instead, Houston is blistering hot right now and we are in need of solar screens. One day...we will have a villa in MX and maybe then we can put these beauties to use :)

Honestly, I have never used this kind of shutters ever! Not even on holiday destinations. It's not common here in Holland (or should I say Europe?). Gorgeous houses though!! Hope you had a wonderful holiday time at the beach.

Such a pretty post full of shutter elegance.....so agree that shutters give a home such a charming effect and love doing them in soft colors as an accent, many homes look "complete" with the addition of shutters...lovely post! Hope you are having fun at the beach...I am too and sooo enjoying it~

Hey guys! We adore bermuda shutters. There is a house on a lake close to where we live that added them recently. Wow, what a difference it made. Our families are going to the beach as well. Hope you have a great time!

the Bermuda shutters are so charming...and I assume very functional as well...what a gorgeous classic feature of cottages...we still have a few cottages around our area that have retained their shutters..(not that I'm in Bermuda, though)...
excellent architectural detail..

Nice post,
you've really got a great eye on design detail. I'm lovin' those Bermuda shutter pics.

They looks so lovely and fresh.
They make a structure look so cool and idyllic.

These are so amazing and immediately put me in a tropical vacation kind of mindset! I wish Oregon's climate suited them but I guess I'll just have to go on vacation - or visit your blog - to enjoy them. :) Beautiful post!

We just painted our shutters a very pale gray, against the white brick it looks fantastic. Shutters to me give a home real personality. Very nice selection you posted here.

Hello ladies, hope you are having a royal time at the beach!

Stunning images - as always. I did not even know they were called Bermuda shutters (!). But being a Swede I know terms for anything that has to do with "window insulation". Ha!

Warm hugs to you both,

Mon

Nothing makes me happier than being at the beach! I have never stayed at "Debby Doo"...we always stay in Litchfield or Pawleys. Maybe next time we will try it.
Great shutter post...I love it when it rains at the beach and the windows are open but the shutters are down.
Have a happy vacation!

These are gorgeous — I adore shutters and especially large ones that are actually useful as these are. (I despise faux shutters) Have you seen the architecture of Hugh Newell Jacobsen? He has some interesting uses of shutters and different systems. These are so inspiring — thanks for sharing :)
